Inside This Secret Lake House In The Heart Of Bangkok

In this week’s episode, a home in Bangkok is reimagined as a series of modest pavilions set around a large lake, shaped through conversations about life, family and memory rather than a conventional brief. Located on approximately 19,000 square metres at the edge of a dense neighbourhood and a public park, the house draws from a desire to recreate the openness of a rural seaside home within the city. Organised into separate living spaces and a central pavilion, the home is connected by open walkways where trees provide shade, and the landscape becomes the primary living environment. At its centre, a pond extends the site’s ecosystem, allowing water, plants and wildlife to shape daily life, creating a home where architecture and nature exist as one continuous experience.

ในตอนนี้ เราพาไปชมบ้านหลังหนึ่งในกรุงเทพฯ ที่ถูกออกแบบเป็นกลุ่มอาคารพาวิลเลียนขนาดกะทัดรัด ล้อมรอบทะเลสาบขนาดใหญ่ โดยแนวคิดเกิดจากบทสนทนาเกี่ยวกับชีวิต ครอบครัว และความทรงจำ มากกว่าจะเป็นโจทย์แบบดั้งเดิม ตัวบ้านตั้งอยู่บนพื้นที่ประมาณ 16 ไร่ ติดกับย่านที่อยู่อาศัยและสวนสาธารณะ สะท้อนความตั้งใจที่จะนำความเปิดโล่งของบ้านริมทะเลในชนบทเข้ามาสู่บริบทของเมือง

พื้นที่ถูกจัดเป็นส่วนอยู่อาศัยแยกกัน พร้อมพาวิลเลียนกลางสำหรับใช้ร่วมกัน เชื่อมต่อด้วยทางเดินกึ่งภายนอกใต้ร่มเงาของต้นไม้ ทำให้ภูมิทัศน์กลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตประจำวัน ที่ใจกลางของบ้าน บ่อน้ำช่วยต่อยอดระบบนิเวศของพื้นที่ เปิดโอกาสให้น้ำ พืช และสัตว์ต่าง ๆ เข้ามามีบทบาทในชีวิต ก่อให้เกิดบ้านที่สถาปัตยกรรมและธรรมชาติหลอมรวมเป็นประสบการณ์เดียวกันอย่างต่อเนื่อง
