After years of travelling and calling different cities home, this couple found their dream retirement home in Chiang Mai, Thailand. What makes it truly unique? They didn’t design or build it — yet it feels as though the house was waiting just for them.

Welcome to Capella, a tropical green courtyard house where modern architecture meets cosy living. This home features a sunken living room facing a raised pool, a courtyard terrace that separates the kitchen and living spaces, and lush greenery that makes every corner feel like a private retreat. In this home, outdoor living terraces separate and connect different wings of the home, creating pockets of spaces to relax.

From the poolside sanctuary to the sunlit master bedroom framed by trees, this is more than a home. It’s a story of how thoughtful design can connect people to nature, lifestyle, and comfort. Designed and built by Aurum Development Company, every detail responds to the tropical climate of Chiang Mai with cool breezes, shaded patios, and natural light-filled interiors.
