In this episode, join us for a home tour inside a converted, 3-bedroom freehold condo in District 10! Crafted with the idea of longevity and malleability for generations to come, the current luxury minimalist theme serves as a modern zen haven for the family. By utilizing a neutral, earthy palette, imbuing subtle textures, and spatial reconfiguration, Nicole, Eugene and the team at i.Poise Design helped them transform their unutilized space into a modern and airy retreat. This apartment has been ingeniously reconfigured from a 3-bedroom unit into a 4-bedroom, supplemented by both a wet and dry kitchen. The revamped interior brings an added dimension of space and usability to the family's living needs. Hosting 3 generations, the house is crafted mindfully, remaining aesthetic yet practical for the elderly.
Stepping through the front door, you'll have direct access to a conveniently located storage space, perfect for stowing away shoes, and a wide view of the roomy living and dining areas. Conceptualised as one seamless space and elegantly expanded by a balcony that acts as a natural extension of the indoor areas, it is a spacious, open, and cohesive communal area.
Contrary to the typical layout, this living area is set slightly away from the busy lifestyle portions, allowing for uninterrupted consumption of the latest television series. Saltburn anyone? That aside, we didn’t forget our client’s wish for a luxurious yet not overly glamourous home. Side stepping the typically associated gold and whites, we imbued textured stone-like finishes to accentuate the earthy tones of the house. With strategically placed hidden storage solutions clad with a wavy laminate?, it adding to the practicality, and aids in maintaining a clutter-free living area.
Right next to this, the kitchen area is thoughtfully divided into two parts.
A dry kitchen serves as an interactive and engaging hub for the dining zone, creating an entertainment aspect that's perfect for hosting and socialising. In the middle of it seats a magnificent island crafted with sintered stone, durable and unified with other aspects of the home. In the wet kitchen, storage and cooking areas are thoughtfully segmented for the homeowners to chef up a feast.
The tour leads us to the bedrooms, where concealed doors blend with seamless storages. The master bedroom bears witness to the homeowner's bag collection, doubling up as a space for reading and recouperation. Linked to it would be the master bathroom, with its distinctive integrated sink made of quartz. With it essentially resembling a spa, the master bedroom is an absolute sanctuary.
