The property market in 2024 is entering a new phase with rate cuts expected after the recent hikes. On average, price growth is about 5%, but the reality on the ground varies significantly across property types. For landed properties, the jump has been substantial: five years ago, an inter-terrace could be bought for $2.8 million, but now it costs at least $4.5 million, reflecting an 80% increase, or around 16% per year.
This highlights the need to segment the market by property type and location. Even within the condo market, some properties have seen stagnation in recent years.
