A couple of days ago, we went shopping for tiles with our IDs at Soon Bee Huat and Hafary. After a while, every tile looks almost the same to us. I guess we can call it tile fatigue?

Here are some tips when it comes to selecting the right tile!

1. Save the 3D renderings and colour palette in your phone as a reference when shopping for tiles
2. Ask your ID what is the price range of tiles you can pick based on your quotation
3. Determined the size of tiles you want
4. Touch and feel the texture of each tile
5. For wood-like textured floor tiles, pick those with bevelled edges
6. Take note of natural patterns on the tiles and check if the patterns can run seamlessly when placed together
7. Be present during the tile selection process!

Lastly, remember to bring home the tile samples so that you can look at them under different lightings before making your final decision.
