What was once an open-air rooftop laundry with no roof and only two walls has been transformed by interior designer Martina Fenech Adami of studio NiCHE into a compact one-bedroom apartment with an open kitchen, dining, and living area, alongside a generous terrace that extends the apartment outdoors. A blue-toned kitchen runs along the back wall, paired with a mirrored splashback that reflects light and views, while triangular cabinetry turns awkward corners into useful storage. The dining counter faces the terrace, creating a direct connection to the sky and surrounding rooftops. The bedroom sits behind a dramatic blue curtain, separating day and night zones, while integrated storage and custom details keep the layout efficient and uncluttered. In the bathroom, circular forms, fluted glass, and bold colour blocking continue the apartment’s playful geometric language.
