What can you do with a 50-year-old terrace house when you don't want to erase what was already there? In this episode, we step inside an architect's own home in Kuala Lumpur, where an original terrace house has been gradually reimagined for modern living. Rather than replacing its character, the house has evolved around the life of its family, becoming a home, florist studio and workspace within a compact footprint.

Inside, a once-forgotten backyard becomes part of the living experience, a double-volume void brings natural light deep into the house, and a skylight transforms the centre of the home. Upstairs, a mezzanine creates an additional space for the children, while carefully positioned views and greenery bring privacy without closing the house off from its surroundings.
