In this special compilation, we revisit eight of our favourite small Italian homes. From a 21sqm micro apartment in Milan that becomes an exercise in overlapping function and sculptural joinery to an abandoned flat in Naples revived through bold colour, craftsmanship and contrast. Along the Riviera, a former 1970s studio is reorganised like the interior of a sailing boat, cleverly concealing two bedrooms within its compact footprint, whilst a 15th-century fresco in Mantua re-emerges as the centrepiece of a contemporary layout.
