Welcome to DESIGN SEED!
From the outside, this house looks like any ordinary suburban home — but step inside, and you’ll discover a hidden world of calm, light, and quiet introspection.
Once a 1980s semi-detached house, it has been completely transformed into Introverse House — a minimalist sanctuary designed by Core Design Workshop in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. This tropical courtyard home redefines modern living through architecture that embraces solitude, mindfulness, and natural ventilation.
Guided by architect Tan Chun Hooi and his wife, art curator Scarlette Lee, every wall, opening, and detail in this home is shaped by philosophy — an inward home designed from the inside out. With its secret inner garden, layered boundaries, and vibrant yellow accents, the Introverse House challenges how we think about minimalist living, tropical architecture, and mental well-being through design and architecture.
If you’re drawn to Japanese Zen gardens, Malaysian tropical homes, or the idea of designing a calm home in a noisy world, this episode will leave you inspired.
