Imagine a Singapore where "taking the train" wasn't even an option.

The MRT didn't arrive until 1987, but these iconic HDB estates were already standing strong in the 60s and 70s. Back then, life moved a little slower, and everyone relied on buses, taxis, or just good old-fashioned walking to get around the heartlands. These 5 estates paved the way for the Singapore we know today, and have stood the test of time.
