If you’re buying an HDB now, the hardest part isn’t the price. It’s knowing which signal to trust.
Removing the 15-month wait-out period may bring more buyers back into the resale market and support prices in the short term.
But another market force is already building. Around 13,500 flats are expected to reach MOP in 2026, followed by 15,000 in 2027 and 19,500 in 2028.
That means more resale choices for buyers and potentially greater competition among sellers.
A short-term price rise and longer-term supply pressure can exist at the same time. The useful question is not simply whether prices will rise or fall, but how these changing conditions affect your own housing options.
