Sometimes, it's ALL about trusting the process when building your dream home! Initially wanting a wabi-sabi look, a series of happy 'incidences' evolved Janet and Othniel (IG: @janielhome)'s 5-room HDB design into a cosy blend of various interior styles.

"From a wabi-sabi aesthetic, our tastes gravitated towards Japandi as we spoke to our ID Carpenter Direct. And then our friends mentioned how our furniture and decor gave off a Balinese vibe too," Janet shares.

Despite the rather 'fluid' journey crafting out their home's aesthetic, the couple were clear on how they wanted to utilise each space. For instance, carving out a glass-encased gym room, to building a wet-and-dry kitchen, designed with their hosting and lifestyle habits in mind.
